A native-speaking, professional voice talent will use the translated content to record a voiceover audio track. The audio on your source video will be muted and replaced by the voiceover track. All you have to do is simply upload your video source files, identify your source and target languages, choose either a male or female voice, and then you will receive an instant quote and be able to place your order, all within minutes. The optional review stage will give you a chance to make edits to the translated video scripts. Your feedback will be implemented before the scripts are turned into recordings and placed in your video. The video is returned to you in MP4 format. You will be alerted by email when your final videos are ready to be downloaded from the onDemand site.

onDemand translations are performed by native speakers.

Can I cancel a submitted project?

onDemand is based on a highly automated system to get your translation requests to our translators as fast as possible, and in return, back to you with fastest turnaround times. Therefore, it is not possible to cancel any submitted projects. Before submitting, please review your order carefully.

Can I pay with a PO?

The retail site accepts only credit cards and will not accept a PO.

What are the payment options?

What is a TTML file & How do I apply the TTML file translations to my source file?

TTML (Timed Text Markup Language) are text files that can be displayed by the Internet Explorer 10 video player, or captured using scripting. This is the default file output that is received for Closed Captions via onDemand.

What is Lionbridge onDemand?

What is the processing fee?

There is a flat 3% processing fee on all orders.

Can I make changes to an order I already submitted?

You cannot make changes to an order already submitted. All submitted jobs are processed and charged in real time and work begins almost immediately. Resubmit the portion of your order that was changed into a new order or click Chat Now if you need assistance.

Can I upload a zip file?

Lionbridge onDemand supports zip files via our manual quote option. Please fill out the Manual Quote form and submit your zip files in this manner.

How do you accurately quote projects after a file is uploaded?

We use software that automatically counts & parses uploaded files. Our software is calibrated against industry standard counting mechanisms and our results have been tested rigorously for accuracy.

What if I have questions about submitting an order?

You can reach out to the onDemand support team using the Chat Now button, or by submitting a service ticket.

What if the translators working on my project have questions for me?

Your onDemand Representative or a Lionbridge Project Manager will reach out to you via the email address you provided in your account to clarify questions from translators and the linguistic team.

What is the process of being alerted when my project is completed?

You will receive an email confirmation when your order is placed and another email when the translations are complete to the email address provided when your account was created.

When translating a source file into multiple languages, do I receive a file for each language?

Yes, you will receive one translated file per target language requested.

Why is there a minimum charge on projects?

Minimum charges have been introduced in order to cover the operational costs of the translation process.

Will the onDemand team adjust non-visible content so that it is translated in the target text?

We translate all visible content only. No specific adjustments will be made to a non-visible file content. If the client wants to have all content translated they need to prepare the files accordingly before submitting the project to onDemand.

Can clients request a translation sample to ensure the quality meets their standards?

onDemand does not provide translation samples. You can confidently rely on us to meet your translation quality needs as we are the largest translation services provider in the world. We provide enterprise level quality to Fortune 500 clients via onDemand every day. You will not find a better translation quality-level anywhere online.

Can I view the status of an order that is in progress?

You will receive basic status notifications via email to confirm your order has been placed and payment has been made, then another when the project is complete.

Do I need to create an account to place an order?

Yes, you need to create an account to place an order but you can receive an instant quote without creating an account.

Do I need to create an account to receive a quote?

It is not required that you create an onDemand account to receive a quote. You will get an instant quote at step 3 of our ordering process. You will need to create an account to submit an order in step 4 of the process. If you create an account, you can save a quote and come back later to submit the order.

Do you accept files via fax?

onDemand does not support files via fax. If you need to translate something that is on paper you can scan the document into a PDF or TIFF and then upload it to the Scanned Document service. Click here to learn more about the Scanned Document service.

Do you issue a receipt?

Yes, you will receive an order confirmation email after your order is submitted. This confirmation email also acts as a receipt of purchase.

Do you issue invoices?

Invoices are by default not issued for services ordered via onDemand. If receiving an invoice is essential for your purchase, please click the "Chat Now" button to get in touch with our staff. We'll see how we can find a solution for you.

Will complicated medical or legal terms be translated accurately?
